In 19th century literary sources this palaces i know as Franzoni Palace (since the homonymous bookshop has been there since 1826).
It was built between 1550 and 1582 by the man of letters and cardinal Vincenzo Giustiniani Banca (1515-1582), on an ancienisme of the family and along a main street axe. It has been owned by this family for three centuries due to a "pio lascito" of Vincenzo Giustiniani.
The building is a coherent body characterized by a typical symmetric facade. Even nowadays it looks unchanged but for the partial closing of the imposing staircase with loggias overlooking the court.
The palace is a rare example of detached / autonomous building when compared with the surrounding building context.
