When you get off at the metro stop San Giorgio/Acquario in Genoa you will find yourself in the city center. This stop is close to St Lorenzo street, Sottoripa, and the Old Port Area/Acquarium.
This metro station has been designed by Architect Renzo Piano, it has a great stairway close to the lateral facade of St Giorgio Palace and it's surrounded by the historical docks of the city.
